Sarah, known to many people as Ms. Sarah, has worked as a social worker for many years in Trumbull and Mahoning Counties. She is from Youngstown and has lived here for most of her life. Her goal is to help families through whatever they are going through, such as anxiety, school challenges, trauma, depression, focusing, socialization, loss, and more. She will also make you laugh, be silly, and genuinely care about others. Sarah will do her very hardest to be inclusive and be appreciative of unique perspectives and backgrounds.
If there is one place you can find her, besides helping kids and families it’s in the garden! She has been working on the Therapeutic Garden Program for over a decade and loves teaching children about the therapeutic qualities of gardening. She has presented The Garden Therapy Curriculum and Model locally, nationally, and internationally. She has a Bachelor of Social Work from Youngstown State, Master of Applied Social Sciences and Administration (MSSA) from Case Western Reserve University, and is currently pursuing my Doctor of Social Work at Tulane University. Sarah is involved in a variety of organizations such as Ohio Domestic Violence Network, National Domestic Violence Network, Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership GROW program, American Horticultural Therapy Association, Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force & Coalition, National Association of Social Worker’s, Council on Social Work Education, CITI Program; Social and Behavioral Research Investigators and Key Personnel, Peer Reviewer for SAGE Publications (Publons), National Weather Service Certified Weather Spotter.
