Meg has been a member of the Alta Care Group team since 1989. Her professional work includes supervising case managers who provide a wrap-around approach to working with children and families with complex needs. She has been part of the first case management team at Alta, providing therapy for children with significant adverse life experiences, residential treatment and supervision. She currently supervises our Community Support Department and the Trauma Recovery team at Alta. She is located at Alta’s Belmont location.
She helps connect families to social, emotional, educational and medical resources to assist them in being successful in daily living at home, school and in the community. She monitors medication services, works closely with FIRST Team treating individuals with their first episode of psychosis. Meg provides trauma training internally and, in the community, is a certified Trauma Informed Care Train the Trainer. She supervises the Baby Bump Program with the goal of positively impacting the rates of infant mortality in Mahoning County. She also helps women have healthier pregnancies, healthier babies and healthier lifestyles to aid children to reach their first year of life.
Meg graduated with a Master’s of Science in Education (MSEd), and her professional development and training includes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Structural Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Parent Management Training and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Meg is a Nationally Certified Trauma therapist and have additional certification in Transition to Independence Programming (TIP) working with transitional-aged youth. She is an active member of the Regional Trauma Informed Care Summit (Lower Northeast Ohio Region). Meg is also the Vice President of the Board of Directors Boardman Civic Association.
