Take the Guesswork Out of Parenting with Group Triple P Classes

If you’re a parent or caregiver who:

  • is interested in promoting your child’s development and potential, or
  • may have concerns about your child’s mild to moderate level of behavioral problems, or
  • simply wishes to prevent behavior problems from developing

…you’ll want to be a part of a free series of classes presented by Alta as part of the Group Triple P Positive Parenting series.

Group Triple P is a broad-based parenting intervention delivered over eight weeks for parents of children up to 12-years old. In these classes, parents/caregivers actively participate in a range of exercises to learn about the causes of child behavior problems — setting specific goals and using strategies to promote child development, manage misbehavior and plan for high-risk situations.

Dates and times for this eight-week series are:

Week 1 Thursday, April 12 • 5-7 pm
Week 2 Thursday, April 19 • 5-7 pm
Week 3 Thursday, April 26 • 5-7 pm
Week 4 Thursday, May 3 • 5-7 pm
Week 5 Individual Phone Consults
Week 6 Individual Phone Consults
Week 7 Individual Phone Consults
Week 8 Thursday, May 31 • 5-7 pm

All classes will be held at the Newport Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, 3730 Market Street in Youngstown. Leading the sessions will be Carolyn Fender, an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant at Alta Behavioral Healthcare.

There is no charge for participating in this series, and space is limited. To reserve your spot for the classes, contact Carolyn at 330-793-2487 ext. 519.
