Alta Care Group receives $5,000 grant from The Aimee & Lulu Seidel Foundation
Alta Care Group, the Valley agency committed to the social, emotional, behavioral and physical well-being of children, adolescents, young adults and families in our community, was awarded a $5,000 grant from The Aimee & Lulu Seidel Foundation. These funds will be used to help cover the cost of a new van which provides critically important transportation services for clients.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Seidel Foundation for their generous support of Alta. Transportation is key to the success of our programs as most of our feedback from parents is the need for reliable transportation to access our programs and care,” Joe Shorokey, Chief Executive Officer of Alta Care Group, said.
Atla serves an estimated 3,000 children, adolescents, youth and their families each year. With 75 percent of the individuals and families it serves falling within the federal guidelines for poverty, Alta is keenly aware that breaking down barriers to access care is of the utmost importance.
“Implementing a transportation program is vital to not only the success of our programs, but most importantly the success of our clients,,” Shorokey added.
The grant from the Seidel Foundation was joined by grants from the Hine Memorial Fund administered through the Foundation Foundation and the Mercy Health Foundation to purchase the transportation vehicle.
