Louise Kotel, LSW
Therapist
Since working at Alta for the past four years, I have become certified in TF-CBT as well as coordinating the Camp Challenge summer program. I work mainly in school based services during the school year providing mental health services. My Social Work career started in 2005, with my first employment at a domestic violence/rape crisis shelter while studying for my undergraduate degree in Social Work at Bowling Green State University. I completed my Masters in Social Work at the University of Akron. Upon graduating from the University of Akron, I started a job in Akron working with the DD population. I was working in group homes and workshops proving behavioral management and counseling; along with providing outpatient counseling at the office. After seven years in Akron, I accepted a job closer to home and became an in home therapist in Columbiana County. I worked with foster kids, high risk youth, parents and high risk adults to provide intensive home therapy.
